The Roc-lon Maxi-Black Pak is a 136" x 4.5" strip of blackout material to block light from reflecting onto the ceiling from the top of the blind. Included is a magnetic strip and a velcro strip to affix the blackout material to both the wall and drapery rod. In this way it "hangs" over the gap between the liner and the wall, making your room even darker.
From the package:
"Occasionally, the unique characteristics of your individual drapery installation may allow a small amount of light seepage around the permiter of the drapery.
"The items in this package, used along with your TLC drapery liner, will allow TOTAL BLACKOUT at the window."
"Blackout fabric to place along the top of your rod and the two wings, thereby blocking all light from the top.
"Magnetic tape attaches to your metal drapery rod to hold Blackout Fabric (above) in place. (Magnetic side applies to rod; adhesive side attaches to Blackout Fabric).
"Hook and loop [velcro] fastener (cut to size needed) to use wherever there is light seepage between the drapery and the wall or window frame.
"(Note: if fastener is applied to paint or wallcovering materials, removal may result in damage to surface)." [The best approach is to put the velcro on the window pane if possible]
